Our Community Work

We Help Local Communities

Lions clubs help local communities in a number of ways with every penny collected in the British Isles – and every cent in Ireland – going direct to good causes.

Not one penny/cent is spent on administration as Lions Club running costs are funded by members. Just ask any Lions member how we make every penny/cent count.

How we raise funds, we have our famous tuck truck where we cook delicious bacon sandwiches, burgers and hotdogs as well as serving hot and cold drinks.

We do our famous Santa collection every December. You can hear us coming down your street. collecting and bringing a smile to the young and old in Calne.

Every May the river in Calne becomes awash with 3000 plastic ducks as well as larger school and business ducks for our annual Duck Race.

WHO WE’VE HELPED

Local causes we have supported that have local people who use those services.

We have also raised money for international and national disasters.
