If you Volunteer (Duck Race, Santa Collections and other Lions events)
We will only collect enough information from you in order for you to be a volunteer and take part in our activities. This information may include your name, address, contact telephone number and/or email address.
We will not share this information with third parties. If you no longer wish to be involved with our activities, please let us know and we will delete your information.
Duck Race
If you purchase a paper ticket, we will only have the information you supply on the ticket stub, e.g. name and telephone number. Once the race has taken place and prizes have been distributed, the tickets will be securely destroyed.
Online Sales
For all online sales, which will be ducks for the main race, children’s ducks, business ducks and stalls, we will collect:
– Billing Name (first name, last name),
– phone number,
– email address
For the Children’s Ducks, Business Ducks and stalls we also collect:
– Organisation Name,
– Organisation Address,
– Contact Name,
– Contact Phone
For the main duck race, we will only keep your information until the race has taken place and prizes have been distributed. For the other races, we will keep your details to enable us to contact you about future events that might interest you.
Ticket Tailor – Online Sales

If you make a request for a donation/help
We will only collect enough information from you or your organisation to be able to process your request. This information may include your name, address, contact telephone number and/or email address and bank account details.
We will not pass your information to another organisation or charity without your consent. We may publicise any donations made on social media, for example Facebook or Twitter; We name a charity or organisation we donate to but will not name individuals without their consent.
We may keep a limited amount of information to enable us to contact you about any future donations or events we think would interest you or your organisation.
If you are a member of Calne Lions Club
Calne Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International. We process “personal data” and/or “special category data” (as defined in data protection legislation) as part of the membership services and/or in our administration. All data is held securely and for as long as they relate to the reasons for collection and/or if there is a statutory retention period. Security of data and confidentiality is very important to us to protect everyone involved in our services.
Data may be shared with third parties as part of our services, for our administration and/or if we are required by law to do so. We cannot accept any liability for any processing conducted by a third party outside our remit.
Data is shared with Lions Clubs International “Head Office” (“LCI”) in Chicago, USA. Lions Clubs International (British Isles) have entered into an international agreement with LCI in order to protect the rights and freedoms of our UK members in accordance with the legislation.
